You will be welcomed in the traditional African manner in the townships of Langa (the oldest formal township) & Khayelitsha (the largest informal settlement). The tour includes a visit to the District Six where in 1966 it was declared a white area under the Group Areas Act of 1950, and by 1982 the life of the community was over.  60,000 were forcibly removed to barren outlying areas known as the Cape Flats, and their houses in District Six were flattened by bulldozers.  Time permitting visit Gugulethu Township, meaning “our pride”, which was established as a result of the migrant labor system. This trip was well executed and well worth the price. In fact, I had never seen prices this low and was skeptical but I can vouch that the value was incredible in terms of the ground covered in a week! Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotels were good enough, especially for the time spent in them. I would highly recommend this tour!
