Day 1
Depart USA.
Your exciting journey begins as you depart New York this evening on your overnight flight to Italy.
Day 2
Arrive Venice (Italy).
 Welcome to beautiful Italy! After landing at Venice airport, you’ll be met and escorted to your hotel which commands a scenic and convenient location on the Grand Canal within easy walk to many major attractions. This evening your Tour Director hosts an orientation followed by welcome dinner with wine. Bellini Hotel (D)
Day 3

Discover the charms of romantic Venice. First, embark on a boat tour to the island of Murano, world renowned for its glass craftmanship. Back in Venice a local guide will bring this remarkable city to life as you explore on foot St. Mark’s Square, the Golden Byzantine Basilica of San Marco, the lavish Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. This afternoon marvel at Venice at your own pace or shop for unique local crafts. (B)

Day 4
Venice/Pisa/Florence.
Today journey south to Pisa, where you’ll view the famous Piazza del Miracoli and the amazing Leaning Tower. Visit a Tuscan countryside farm for wine tasting and sampling of local specialties. Arrive in Florence, the splendid capital of Tuscany. Grand Hotel Adriatico or Rivoli Hotel (B)
Day 5
This morning’s tour of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, starts with a breathtaking view of Florence from Michelangelo Square. Proceed to visit the Accademia of Fine Arts housing Michelangelo’s celebrated David. You’ll also visit the sculpture-filled Signoria Square, the famous Duomo Cathedral and Ponte Vecchio, the “Old Bridge”, lined with craft shops. Afternoon at leisure to visit some of the museums that make Florence a magnet for artlovers and enjoy a stroll along the romantic Arno River. This evening a special treat awaits. Travel to the hills surrounding Florence and enjoy a typical dinner complete with wine and local entertainment at a picturesque Tuscan Villa. (B,D)
Day 6
Florence/Assisi/Rome.
Depart south through the stunning panorama of Tuscany and Umbria to the Medieval hilltown of Assisi and view the fabled Basilica of St. Francis and Giotto’s frescoes. Late afternoon arrival in Rome, the “Eternal City”. Settle into your centrally located hotel. Mediterraneo Hotel (B,D)
Day 7
A morning tour to the Vatican includes visits to St. Peter’s Basilica, the recently restored Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum abundant with priceless collections of art and treasures. Afternoon is at leisure for shopping or to indulge in Rome’s favorite pastime: people watching at the outdoor cafes of the bustling Via Veneto. (B)
Day 8
This morning explore Imperial Rome on an included guided tour. Listen to the echoes of Emperor Nero in the Colosseum, walk under the Arch and marvel at the ruins of the Roman Forum. Afternoon at leisure to explore Rome’s elaborate piazzas and fountains on your own. Tonight, you are our guest at a lavish gala dinner at a typical Roman restaurant complete with wine and entertainment. Cap your evening with a tour of illuminated Rome by night. (B,D)
Day 9
Rome/Pompeii/Sorrento.
Depart Rome, passing Mt. Vesuvius en route to the Bay of Naples. Visit Pompeii, the town frozen in time by Vesuvius’ ashes. See the temples of Apollo and Jupiter. Your final destination today is the enchanting resort town of Sorrento, perched high on the cliffs overlooking the sparkling bay. Grand Hotel Vesuvio or Michelangelo Hotel (B,D)
Day 10
Sorrento is world renowned for its scenic splendor, woodworking and lace making, horse drawn carriages and relaxing atmosphere. A day at leisure to enjoy this charming town independently. This evening celebrate with your fellow travelers at a farewell dinner in a famous local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 11
Sorrento.
Final day at leisure to discover Sorrento’s charms at your own pace. You may also opt to explore the spectacular Amalfi coast. (B)
Day 12
Naples/USA.
After breakfast, say “ciao”to romantic Italy as you transfer to Naples Airport and board your return flight to the USA arriving back the same day. (B)

Venice
Gondola Ride with Music ($67 per person)
One of the highlights of any Italian vacation! Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride).  Pickup details to be advised locally. 
Rome
Piazzas of Rome ($44 per person)
This half day walking tour takes you to explore the grand piazzas of the Eternal City. Stand in awe in front of the majestic Spanish Steps, the longest and widest decorative steps in Europe, and with your local guide stroll through the most characteristic “piazzas and vias ” of Rome. Stop to admire the breathtaking grandeur of the Trevi Fountain and take the opportunity to toss in one, two, or three coins, each of which is supposed to bring a unique kind of good fortune. View the monumental Pantheon, the best preserved of any Roman building and admire the baroque Piazza Navona, which follows the shape of the ancient Roman Diocletian Stadium, with Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Egyptian Obelisk. Pick-up details to be advised locally. 
Capri
Full Day Capri ($119 per person)
Enjoy a full day journey to the colorful Isle of Capri by boat. Visit the lovely Anacapri and explore the charming shops and chic boutiques as you stroll the island’s narrow streets. Continue to see “La Piazzetta,” the social heart of the island, on your way to the open-air Gardens of Augustus, from where you will appreciate breathtaking views of the famous Faraglioni rocks. Tour includes: local guide, round trip transportation to port, round trip transportation by fast boat, minibus or cable car transportation on the island. Pickup details to be advised locally.

ADVANCE SEAT ASSIGNMENT

The airlines above do not assign seats in advance. Seat assignments can only be arranged at the airport upon check in. If you have a preferred seating choice, please make sure you check in for your flight as early as possible. These airlines do not offer any frequent flyer miles.

PASSPORT AND VISA INFORMATION

You must be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. Visa not required for American passport holders. Non U.S. citizens should check with the respective consulates as to the most current visa requirements to all their travel destinations. Please remember that it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary travel documents before the trip.

TICKETS AND FINAL DOCUMENTS

Your airline tickets along with final instruction and some additional travel tips will be sent to you 10 – 7 days before the scheduled departure of your tourPlease make sure to advise us in case your address changes.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Immunizations are NOT currently required; however, you may wish to consult your personal physician or local public health authorities as to their suggestions. 

CLIMATE

You may expect daytime high temperatures ranging in the 50’s and 70’s. 

NON-INCLUDED MEALS AND SIGHTSEEING

The hotels used on this tour have several dining choices from coffee shop to specialty restaurants.  Average cost for dinner (excluding drinks) in the coffee shop is about $20-25 per meal per person.  Optional sightseeing tours and evening activities will be offered. Your hotel will accept credit cards for your non-included meals.  

CREDIT CARDS AND LOCAL CURRENCY

Hotels and some stores accept major credit cards.  However, for “street shopping” you will need local currency or U.S. Dollars.  Your hotels will be able to exchange for you cash to local currency. It is recommended that you bring along cash in small denominations. 

BAGGAGE

Each passenger may bring one piece of checked-in luggage (suitcase) and one carry-on piece. We recommend that you do not over-pack and that you take a variety of separates with climate and comfort in mind.
