Marketing Director – Full Time

Position Purpose:

  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing strategy
  • Execute marketing strategy with precision to maximize lead generation and sales growth in all channels
  • Mine and grow database for effective outreach to direct consumers and groups; including the development of customer universes
  • Database hygiene process development
  • Grow share of wallet and repeat passenger ratios
  • Develop brand and brand awareness
  • Profitably drive top line sales growth by implementing programs with a strong positive ROI
  • Monitor performance, report on metrics and effectively utilizing resources
  • Lead integrated marcom, targeting relevant customers & prospects with digital, direct, traditional & media
  • Provide data-driven insights around marketing efforts to refine future initiatives, product and sales

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree qualification; BS Marketing, Communications, Business or related fields
  • 5+ years in marketing and management, preferably in travel industry
  • Extensive experience in database and integrated marketing and with CRMs
  • Brand, direct and digital marketing acumen
  • Experience managing sizeable marketing budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting process and use of analytical skills
  • Outstanding strategic thinking and decision making
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the North American travel market and broad personal travel experience
  • Clear alignment to company values and culture
  • Knowledge of the touring and active/adventure travel industry advantageous
  • Eligible to work in US

Reservations Agent – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced agent with 2+ years in the travel industry to join the reservations team at smarTours. Our ideal candidate is a good team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, experience in the travel industry, excellent time management and organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, conducting research on the web, and general computer competence are essential.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Communicating by phone and email with clients
  • Taking phone reservations accurately and with patience
  • Working with customers on existing reservations
  • Researching details about destinations to provide accurate answers to traveler questions
  • Willingness to quickly learn and master our booking software
  • Pitching in as needed to help with paperwork and administrative tasks
