Marketing Director – Full Time

Position Purpose:

  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing strategy
  • Execute marketing strategy with precision to maximize lead generation and sales growth in all channels
  • Mine and grow database for effective outreach to direct consumers and groups; including the development of customer universes

  • Brand, direct and digital marketing acumen
  • Experience managing sizeable marketing budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting process and use of analytical skills
  • Outstanding strategic thinking and decision making
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the North American travel market and broad personal travel experience

Product Manager – Full Time

smarTours is looking to hire a Product Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of our portfolio of tour programs across the world (Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, Australia/New Zealand and Cuba). All programs include airfare, 4-star (or higher) quality hotels, comprehensive sightseeing, experienced tour directors, and more. The main responsibilities of the Product Development Manager will be to negotiate both existing and new programs (both with airlines and ground operators), work closely with suppliers to refine/adjust programs as necessary to ensure the highest quality for our clients, and coordinate with our marketing & sales teams to position our programs optimally and maximize passenger volume.


  • Negotiate air and land arrangements for tour programs with sufficient lead time before the start of the series season. This requires a high degree of organization to start contracting/negotiations at the appropriate time for each program.
  • Develop new products that will enhance the smarTours product offering and provide once-in-a-lifetime trips at excellent value.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to adjust and refine programs as necessary in order to ensure the highest quality for our clients.
  • Work closely with our marketing and sales teams to position our programs optimally and maximize sales.
  • Perform routine competitive analysis to ensure that all tour programs are consistent with the smarTours’ goal of providing the best value in international travel.
  • Keep a close eye on inventory and pricing to make sure that smarTours is appropriately able to meet the demand coming from the market.
  • Periodic travel / site inspections will also likely be required.

Reservations Agent – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced agent with 2+ years in the travel industry to join the reservations team at smarTours.
